Statement of faith
We believe…..
-
That the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
-
In One God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
-
In Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His deity, His sinless human life, miraculous works, His vicarious and atoning sacrificial death, His resurrection, His ascension and glorification and in His personal second coming to the earth.
-
That Jesus Christ is the only way to God (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
-
That the Holy Spirit is the third Person in the Godhead, our counsellor and helper. The Holy Spirit is given to the Church for empowering her to fulfilment of the Great Commission and to live victoriously. Therefore, the manifestations of the Holy Spirit through the gifts of grace will continue till the end of the age when Jesus will return to rule the world.
-
In the fall and depravity of all human beings. The only hope of redemption is by the grace of God through faith in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
In believer’s baptism in water by immersion and the observance of the Eucharist in accordance with the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
That the baptism in the Holy Spirit is not an exclusive apostolic experience but is a gift available to all Christians subsequent to and distinct from their regeneration through faith.
-
In living a holy life, in obedience to the commandments of God, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
-
That our faith must be evident in our deeds in relation to our fellow human beings and the rest of God’s creation
-
That the one universal Church is the ‘Body of Christ’ and that believers individually are members of it.
-
In the priesthood and ministry of all believers in the Church.
-
In the resurrection of all dead: some to eternal life in Christ and some to eternal damnation.
