About Us

    It is my distinct joy and delight to introduce Disciples Theological Seminary to you. DTS is an interdenominational centre for advanced theological studies. It is an institution established for training young men and women to become partners for world mission. At DTS, we believe, our Moto is to DISCIPLINE TO MAKE DISCIPLES (Mathew28:19) for the partners for world mission, first through disciplining themselves through the word of God and secondly planting of the churches through the proclamation of the Gospel. We believe that the churches of the 21st century will require leaders who are disciplined in the word of God and have been taught to communicate its’ truth to whatever society they are called to serve and make disciples. We challenge students to discipline “as unto the Lord” and then to integrate what they have learnt with their personal faith.

   We have several distinctives that justifies our existence and continuation. Our commitment to the authority of the scripture is unwavering and total.  The scripture is the ultimate standard by which all our beliefs and practices are to be judged. We believe in the full inerrancy and the inspiration of the scripture. This trustworthy biblical position is the outcome of sound biblical hermeneutics based on a historical, grammatical, contextual and literal interpretation of the scripture. Our theology is “Theo-centric” rather than anthropo-centric.

    We seek to maintain high academic standards without sacrificing biblical orthodoxy. We continually challenge students to biblical scholarship while holding fast biblical convections without compromise. We try to provide an environment where students are motivated to think for themselves and to make right choices. Here the students will learn various issues of contemporary Christianity and will develop a discerning spirit.

     DTS has various programs such as C.Th, Dip.Th. , B.Th, M.Div, M.Th, Ph.D with emphasis on discipline, church planting and the mission of God.
